PLAY METHOD'S FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How did you come up with PLAY Method? We asked a lot of questions including: Why is sheet music still in black and white? What makes playing the piano so difficult? Is there any way to make a program that would be fast and easy to learn? And over time, this method developed and evolved.

How is PLAY different? PLAY is different in all ways. It is a radical departure from traditional teaching, which has always been about reading existing notes and playing them. Instead of this approach, we have re-designed everything to make it easy and then over time bring you to the same place. The main difference being that students don’t get frustrated, bored or give up because they play within minutes of beginning PLAY Method.

What do I need to get started? We recommend that you have a piano, or electric keyboard and color printer. If you don't, you can play the Virtuoso Virtual Piano on the site for free. Start by printing out the QUICKSTART pages. If you don’t have a piano or keyboard, you can buy one through the site. There is no need to purchase an expensive keyboard, until you are sure you like playing. Is that it?That’s it! You will start playing songs within 5 minutes! Then you can continue by purchasing book downloads, and more music from the STORE.

What does it cost? QUICKSTART and 5 songs from the Song Library are free. Each additional song is $.99. Downloadable books are $9.95. If you don’t have a piano, keyboards start under $100.I eventually want to read and play "regular" sheet music.

Will this be possible? YES. Level 4 lesson book is devoted to transitioning students from playing our color-coded notation to reading and playing regular sheet music.

How can you teach me to play in minutes when other methods take years? The key is in our patent pending method. PLAY Method has taken years to perfect. And is designed for easy comprehension. Like a music video game, you pick up and play those games with little instruction. And that’s the same with PLAY. The only difference is that with PLAY you are really playing the piano, and learning more as you go along. It is designed to be fun, and the sophistication and ease of it makes you want to play more.

PLAY NEWS
December / January 2009

PLAY has just launched and already we are getting a buzz. The people who have come to the site strictly by word of mouth are now playing and downloading. Our song converter is up and running and we have over 100 songs on the site with more to come. And our Green Level L1 e-book is available for purchase, and the next books will launch soon.

TIP: Don’t forget when you print the Quickstart for the first time, first cut and slide the template behind the keyboard like shown in the photo. Make sure you follow instructions carefully on the correct placement of the template or your songs will sound wrong!

Here is an actual email. Send us an email and maybe we’ll post it in a future newsletter. From: Wasamatsil@***.com

My son Sam wanted me to e-mail you....He started to fool around with the piano and used your system and told me this is what got him "going". Right now he plays one song over and over (and over) and I look forward to him playing some more but he’s obviously hooked.

Thank you!
